"Rock and Roll Day"

She was losing her mind, she was eyein' the door,
     Ready to bolt if she got yelled at once more!
Clients with 'tudes, unreasonable demands;
     She wants to cut loose and rock out to some great bands.

CHORUS:
She can't wait for Rock and Roll Day!
     It's her time to rock the night away.
Tomorrow she'll go back to the working world,
     But for right now, she's a rock and roll girl.

A nine-hour day, and he was ready to go!
     The technically clueless had him feeling so low.
Call after call, 'til he can't stand the phone;
     He needs some loud music to get back in the zone...

They're just gonna have some fun, down at the rock and roll club!
     Ain't no party, ain't no disco, this ain't no Irish pub.
He buys her a drink, and they jam to the noise;
     Drums, bass, and guitar, the most wonderful toys...

CHORUS:
They're so alive 'cos it's Rock and Roll Day!
     They intend to rock the night away.
Their jobs can wait, the guitar's on fire.
     That rock and roll music is bringing them higher...

They're just gonna have some fun, down at the rock and roll club!
     Ain't no party, ain't no disco, this ain't no Irish pub.
He buys her a drink, and they jam to the noise;
     Drums, bass, and guitar, the most wonderful toys...
